Listen Up, Rising Artist Raven’s Got Us Tuning In for More

At the fresh age of 21, Cavite-based producer, singer-songwriter and melodic rapper Raven’s been making some noise online and we’re definitely here for all of it, stoked to have had him over for OPM Highlights.

Raven’s got a growing number of listeners and followers on his social media and music platforms, including 18,000 monthly listeners on Spotify with his independently released single in 2020, “Ngayon Lang To”, even getting 100,000 plays since its release.

“Noong nilabas ko siya last year, magisa ako no’n eh,” Raven relates, sharing a bit more about his one man show behind the creation of his music, “‘Di ko po kasi naexpect dati na  maraming makikinig sa mga songs ko, mga ginagawa ko pong videos kasi iyon nga po, magisa lang ako. Pero noong naappreciate ng mga tao ‘yung mga gawa ko, sobrang saya ko po no’n tsaka mas lalo akong ginagnahan gumawa ng mga kanta.”

Continuing the practice of his craft, the young artist preparing his upcoming debut track as a signed artist with Sony Music, “Paraluman”- the song is “is destined to be a future hit just by scratching the surface: it knows how to compromise with prevailing trends while sticking to its principles by heart,” and Raven’s gave an exclusive performance of it for 979 Home Radio’s OPM  Highlights.
